Tucson Northwest Housing Report
As of February 2009 active inventory was 2,055, a 20% decrease from February 2008. There were 168 closings in February 2009, 10% below February 2008. Months of inventory was at 12.2, down from 13.8 in February 2008. Median price of sold homes was $225,000 for the month of February 2009, down 2.2% from February 2008. The new $8,000 first time home buyers' tax credit, historically low mortgage rates and lower prices will contribute to increased affordability.

Saddlebrooke Housing Report*

This is a report for Saddlebrooke, Tucson's Premier Active Adult Retirement Community.

For the twelve months ending Feb. 28, 2009 there were 128 homes sold compared to 185 in the year earlier period. This is a decrease of 30.81%. Prices were virtually flat: The average sale price was $391,978 compared to $392,124 a year ago, a decrease of 0.04%. The median sale price was $362,000 compared to $366,000 a year ago, a decrease of 1.09%. The number of days on market for homes sold was 129 days compared to 113 days a year ago.
